This differential was taken from a running, driving 1998 328i Sedan with ~170k miles. The drive ratio is 2.93, and this is an open-drive differential. The motion of the diff is smooth and quiet, with no irregular play, binding, or clicking. The housing has a few spots of minor surface rusting, but no serious or widespread damage. All the mounting points are intact. The flanges are undamaged.
