DESCRIPTION:
This set of piston and connecting rod assemblies was taken from a 2015 X5 35dX that had an engine bay fire. Some water and debris entered the cylinders. The piston rings show rust staining and there is noticeable dirt buildup in the piston cups. I see no permanent damage to the pistons, and they should clean up well. The rings should be replaced before installation. The piston skirts have very light scuffs with no serious or widespread scoring and no cracks. The connecting rods are straight, undamaged, and reusable. Machine shop cleaning and inspection are recommended prior to assembly. Details can be viewed in the photos. Guaranteed good working condition. These are used original BMW parts.
