ITEM: steering gearbox, 225k
CONDITION:
This steering gear box was taken from a running, driving 1988 535i with ~225k miles. The output has a moderate amount of wiggle play. This may be remedied by tightening the bolt at the bottom of the box, but I'm not sure this will work. The input side has no play. The input shaft splines are clean and undamaged. The housing has some paint and surface rusting issues, but no deep pitting. All the mounting points are intact. Details can be viewed in the photos. This is a used original BMW part.
