CONDITION:
This drive shaft was taken from a running, driving 1997 318ti with ~187k miles and a Manual Transmission. The flex disk is moderately worn, so it should be replaced. The center support bearing rotates, but it has a serious wobble, so it should be replaced. The front universal swivel joint moves smoothly in all directions, and it has no irregular play or binding. The rear U-joint has notches at the center of each axis, and some minor resistance along the planes. There is no irregular play in this joint. The shaft has some minor paint and surface rusting issues, but no serious damage. There is a large area of missing paint on the front section. This was likely caused by contact with a heat shield. The balancing weight near the rear end is peeling away from the shaft slightly. Details can be viewed in the photos. Guaranteed good working condition. This is a used original BMW part.
