ITEM: steering rack, 129k
DESCRIPTION:
This steering rack was taken from a 2000 528i Sedan with ~129k miles. The hard fluid lines have a fair amount of surface rusting. There are no kinks or leaks here. The input shaft splines are clean and undamaged. The motion of the rack is smooth and quiet. There is no irregular play or binding in the movement. The outer ends of the rack gear have some very minor rusting in spots, but there is no deep pitting, so this should clean up well. The tie rods are not included. The housing has no cracks, and all the mounting points are intact. Details can be viewed in the photos. Guaranteed good working condition. This is a used original BMW part.
