ITEM: piston/rod set of 6, 129k
DESCRIPTION:
This set of piston and connecting rod assemblies was taken from a 2000 528i Sedan with ~129k miles. The piston faces have some carbon staining, but no serious buildup. One piston has a few small marks in its surface, and one spot where it looks like someone tried to clean it up. The marks look like pre-detonation to me, but the damage is not too far gone. The other piston faces are undamaged. The piston rings are included, but they should be replaced before installing the pistons. The wrist pin joint is a bit tight feeling, but none of the joints are seized or worn. The piston skirts are mostly very smooth. One skirt has a score marking, but this is shallow and does not catch a passing fingernail. The skirts have no deep scoring or chips. The connecting rods are healthy and usable. Details can be viewed in the photos. Guaranteed good working condition. These are used original BMW parts.
