DESCRIPTION:
This engine was taken from a running 1998 Z3 2.8 Roadster with ~47k miles. This is the version with an aluminum block. The engine started right up and ran smoothly during testing. Cylinder compression and leak-down tests were performed on each cylinder, yielding the following results: Cylinder #1: 175psi/4% leakage, Cyl. #2: 175psi/4%, Cyl #3: 175psi/4%, Cyl. #4: 175psi/4%, Cyl. #5: 175psi/4%, Cyl. #6: 180psi/4%. The engine includes only what is shown in the photos. For example, the intake and exhaust manifolds, oil filter stand, and belt-drive accessories are not included. The engine housing has no rubbing or cracks, and all the mounting points are intact. Many of the exhaust manifold studs are missing and must be replaced. The oil pan and valve cover are undamaged. Details can be viewed in the photos. Guaranteed good working condition. This is a used original BMW part.
