DESCRIPTION:
This differential was removed from a 2005 M3 Convertible with ~178k miles. It is a clutch-type limited-slip unit with a 3.62 final drive ratio. The front mounting point is slightly damaged. The hole is slightly distorted and some of the outer threads have some damage. We recommend using the Rogue Engineering Diff Mount Fix Kit to repair this (Rogue Engineering Part Number: RE.33.484.FIX). With the input flange held stationary, the output flanges have about 2 mm of play, which is normal for this mileage. The locking function operates normally. Rotation feels smooth and quiet throughout. The housing shows typical road grime with no serious paint loss or rust. The rear cover is not included. Details can be viewed in the photos.
