ITEM: dmg'd cylinder head, .0015, 176k
DESCRIPTION:
This cylinder head was removed from a running 2008 528xi Sedan with ~176k miles. The camshafts are not included, but the valves are included as shown in the photos. The block/head mating surface has been checked and has a slight warp of up to 0.0015" (0.0381 mm) between a couple cylinders, AND two of the hemispheres have very small cracks near the spark plug threads. This will require repair. The warp is within tolerance and should not require decking. Valve faces show carbon staining but no permanent damage. There are no visible cracks in the head. Cooling passages are clean and smooth. The housing exterior is intact with no cracks or rubbing, and all mounting points are solid. Some exhaust and intake manifold studs are missing and must be replaced. The camshaft bearing ledges are smooth with no serious wear or damage. Details can be viewed in the photos. Guaranteed good working condition. This is a used original BMW part.
