ITEM: dmg'd cylinder head, 111k
DESCRIPTION:
This cylinder head was taken from a 2015 X5 35dX with ~111k miles that has an engine bay fire. Some firefighting water made it into the cylinders, causing some rust around the valves in some places. Also, one of the glow plugs is stuck in the head. The plug spins and feels like it might come out, but I think it will likely break and have to be drilled out. The block-to-head mating surface has been checked and there is no measurable warp or visible cracks. The housing exterior has some smoke stains and melted plastic residue. Several of the turbo manifold studs are missing or broken, so these will need to be replaced. The head has no cracks or breaks. Details can be viewed in the photos. This is a used original BMW part.
