DESCRIPTION:
This damaged first generation B58 cylinder head was taken from a 2017 540i with ~162k miles. The camshafts are not included, but the valves are included as shown. The number 1 and number 6 combustion chambers have cracks that branch out from the fuel injector opening toward the intake valves. Cylinder 1 has one crack and cylinder 6 has two cracks. This head is suitable for repair or a core only. It is NOT recommended as a direct bolt-on replacement. The cooling passages have some minor oxidation visible but no serious buildup or other internal damage. The housing exterior has no rubbing damage or cracks, and all mounting points are intact. One of the exhaust manifold studs is missing and must be replaced. The camshaft bearing journals are smooth and undamaged. Details can be viewed in the photos. Guaranteed good working condition. This is a used original BMW part.
