ITEM: dmg'd cylinder head, 173k
DESCRIPTION:
This cylinder head was taken from a running 1986 325e with ~173k miles. There is an epoxy repair at the top of the cylinder head, at one point on the surface where the cylinder head cover mounts. I'm not sure if there is a crack here, but there is epoxy on the interior and exterior side, leading me to believe there is a crack in the aluminum. The cylinder head cover may not make a perfect seal because of the epoxy. Otherwise, the block/head mating surface has been checked, and it has no measurable warp or visible cracks. The cooling passages are clean and smooth. The valves are undamaged. The camshaft is included and in good condition. One of the exhaust manifold studs is missing and must be replaced. Details can be viewed in the photos. This is a used original BMW part.
