ITEM: dmg'd steering rack, unk
DESCRIPTION:
This steering rack was taken from a 2006 M3 convertible that had an engine fire. The rack got hot, and the plastic cap on the input was melted and destroyed. The rack should be rebuilt because I do not know the condition of the seals. The rack gear has some very light surface rusting around its ends. This should clean up well. The housing has no cracks, and the mounting points are intact. The tie rods are not included. Details can be viewed in the photos. This is a used original BMW part.
