ITEM: dmg'd cylinder head, 91k
DESCRIPTION:
this cylinder head was taken from a 2017 440iX Gran Coupe that had an engine fire. The camshafts are not included. The valves are included as shown. The block-to-head mating surface has been checked and it is flat, but one combustion changer has a small crack branching out from the spark plug threads. Details of this damage can be viewed in the photos. The cooling passages are clean and smooth. The housing exterior has some smoke and melted plastic stains, but there are no rubbing issues or cracks. The valve faces have some carbon staining, but I see no permanent damage here. Several of the camshaft bearing surfaces are stained. I don't see any serious wear here, so the surfaces will likely clean up well. Details can be viewed in the photos. This is a used original BMW part.
