ITEM: dmg'd engine block, 79k
DESCRIPTION:
This engine block was removed from a running 2019 M5 with ~79k miles. The pistons and crankshaft are not included. Several cylinder walls have deep scoring from oil starvation and piston skirt contact. The worst damage is in cylinders 1 and 5, but nearly all cylinder linings show scoring and scuffs. The scoring is deep enough to be felt with a fingernail. The cooling passages are clean and smooth. The exterior housing has no rubbing damage or cracks, and all mounting points are intact.
