CONDITION:
This drive shaft was taken from a running, driving 1988 535i with ~225k miles. This is for cars with a Manual Transmission. The front flex disk is worn and cracking, so it should be replaced. The front universal swivel joint moves smoothly in all directions, with no irregular play. The center support bearing moves with some grain, so replace it at your discretion. The sliding joint just behind the support bearing has a small amount of rotational play. The rear u-joint moves along both axes, but there is some resistance along one axis, and a notch at the center of the other. There is also a small amount of rotational play in this rear joint. None of the wear is serious. The shaft has some minor paint and rusting issues, but no serious damage. Details can be viewed in the photos. Guaranteed good working condition. This is a used original BMW part.
