This rear differential was removed from a running, driving 1976 2002 with ~93k miles and a manual transmission. The drive ratio is 3.90, and this is an open differential. Its rotation is smooth and quiet, with no irregular play, clicking, or binding. The housing exterior has moderate rust but no deep pitting, all mounting points are intact, and the flanges are undamaged. The rear cover is not included. Details can be viewed in the photos. Guaranteed good working condition. This is a used original BMW part.
