DESCRIPTION:
This rear final drive differential was removed from a 2008 M3 Sedan with ~229k miles. This differential is for vehicles equipped with a manual transmission only. It has a 3.85 ratio and is limited-slip. Rotation is smooth and quiet, and the limited-slip locking function has been tested and is operating properly. With the input flange held stationary, the output flanges show about 1 mm of opposing rotational movement, which is normal. The housing has some moderate surface rust from age and use, but there is no serious corrosion or pitting. All mounting points are intact, and the input and output flanges are undamaged. Details can be viewed in the photos. Guaranteed good working condition. This is a used original BMW part.
