DESCRIPTION:
This steering rack was removed from a 1997 Z3 2.8 Roadster with ~46k miles. This is the quicker 2.7-ratio steering rack, not the slower 3.2-ratio unit used in Z3 M and E36 applications. The input shaft splines are clean and undamaged. The movement of the rack is smooth, with no irregular play or binding. The housing has no serious oxidation or dents, and all mounting points are intact. The tie rods are not included. Details can be viewed in the photos. Guaranteed good working condition. This is a used original BMW part.
