ITEM: dmg'd cylinder head, 156k
DESCRIPTION:
This cylinder head was taken from a running, driving 1987 325i Convertible with ~156k miles. The camshaft and valves are included. The #1 cylinder area is showing some signs of pre-detonation or pinging damage. The other cylinder hemispheres have no similar damage. The valve faces have some minor carbon staining, but no permanent damage. The cooling passages are clean and smooth. The housing exterior has or rubbing or cracks. Most of the exhaust manifold studs are missing and must be replaced. The camshaft and valve train are healthy and not seriously worn or otherwise damaged. Details can be viewed in the photos. This is a used original BMW part.
