ITEM: dmg'd cylinder head w cam, .0015, 284k
DESCRIPTION:
This cylinder head was removed from a running 1992 535i Sedan with ~284k miles. The camshaft and valvetrain are included, as shown. The cast part number is 1708843. The block-to-head mating surface has been checked and there is a small warp of .0015" (0.0381mm) in the areas between cylinders 1 & 2 and 5 & 6. This warp is small and should not require decking or resurfacing. The head has no visible cracks. The valves are mostly clean and have no serious buildup or other damage. The cooling passages are clean and smooth. The housing exterior has no cracks, and all of the mounting points are intact. Most of the exhaust manifold studs are missing and must be replaced. The visible camshaft surfaces are smooth and free from scoring or irregular wear. The rockers are healthy. Details can be viewed in the photos. Guaranteed good working condition. This is a used original BMW part.
